The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed its steadfast readiness for the upcoming election, asserting that victory will be achieved through a fair and transparent process.
Kweku Quarshie, the Government Spokesperson and a key member of the NPP National Communications team, emphasized the party’s commitment to vigilance in ensuring a smooth electoral process.
His remarks, made during an interview on ABC Midday News on October 11th, come in response to recent challenges from Dr. Rashid Tanko Computer, Deputy Director of Elections and IT for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Dr. Computer boldly predicted that the NPP would struggle to secure even 40% of the votes in the forthcoming general election.
Quarshie confidently stated that the NPP has a solid plan and a positive strategy designed to secure an overall win.
He reassured party supporters that every necessary action is being taken to uphold the integrity of the election process.
“NPP is ready with this election. We will be vigilant,” he declared, reinforcing the party’s determination to uphold democratic principles while striving for victory in the upcoming polls.
His comments were a direct response to Dr. Rashid Tanko Computer, the Deputy Director of Elections and IT for the NDC, who predicted that the ruling party would fail to achieve even 40% of the votes.
The NPP, however, remains undeterred, with Quarshie insisting that any attempts to undermine the electoral process by the opposition will not succeed, as the NPP is fully prepared to demonstrate its electoral strength.
