Frank Annoh-Dompreh, Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, has strongly denied any involvement in the recent shooting incident in Nsawam that left one person hospitalized.
Speaking at a press conference, Dompreh emphasized that he had never wielded a gun and called for the Ghana Police Service to conduct a thorough investigation.
“I have never wielded a gun before,” he stated, urging the authorities to uncover the truth behind the shooting.
The MP also dismissed claims made by NDC Communications Officer Sammy Gyamfi, urging him to act with more maturity and stop spreading falsehoods about him.

In his address, Dompreh also reacted to accusations made by Gyamfi and other NDC members regarding the outcome of the parliamentary election in Nsawam-Adoagyiri.
Dompreh asserted that the internal collation of his party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), showed that they had won the seat, and he called on Gyamfi to show political maturity in his statements.
“The NDC must stop spreading lies and show respect for the electoral process,” he added.
Furthermore, Dompreh voiced concerns over the ongoing transition process, urging President Nana Akufo-Addo to pause the transition until all parliamentary seats are duly declared by the Electoral Commission (EC).
He appealed to both President Akufo-Addo and President-elect John Dramani Mahama to ensure that all outstanding results are officially announced before proceeding with the transition.
“Let the transition process be halted until all the seats are declared,” Dompreh stated, reinforcing his call for transparency in the electoral process.
