The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has revealed that the final phase of the Appiatse redevelopment project will begin in October 2024.
The reconstruction, which has been ongoing for two years, seeks to provide modern housing, infrastructure, and essential services to affected residents.
According to a statement signed by the Chairman of the Appiatse Reconstruction Implementation Team, Benito Owusu-Bio, the final phase will prioritize the completion of housing units, roads, and critical social facilities like schools and hospitals.
The Ministry assured that the government remains unwavering in its commitment to delivering quality infrastructure that will enhance the lives of the Appiatse people.
“The Appiatse Reconstruction Implementation Team is set to commence the third and final phase of the Appiatse redevelopment project in October this year, 2024,” the statement read, emphasizing the government’s resolve to complete the project on schedule.
The ministry noted its collaboration with contractors and local authorities to ensure the timely completion of this long-awaited project.
