A police constable and three Community Assistance Police (CAP) officers have been viciously assaulted by a mob of about 50 individuals at Akrofuom in the Obuasi Divisional Police Command on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

The victims, including community police officers Emmanuel Arhin, Alfred Danso, and Frank Owusu Afriyie, were dragged into a nearby bush and left for dead.
Despite their injuries, the officers managed to call for backup, and reinforcements arrived to transport them to the Obuasi Government Hospital for treatment. They have since been discharged.
