Asantehene to Present Report on Bawku Conflict Mediation to President Mahama On December 16

His Royal Majesty, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, is scheduled to present the report and recommendations of the mediation on the Bawku conflict to President John Dramani Mahama next week.

According to a statement by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Member of Parliament and Spokesperson to the President, the presentation will take place on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the Presidency, starting at 4:00 pm.

The mediation, led by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, sought to address long-standing disputes and promote peace and reconciliation among the communities involved in the Bawku conflict. The report is expected to provide recommendations on how to sustainably resolve the tensions in the area.

Felix Kwakye Ofosu emphasized the importance of the upcoming presentation, noting that it will provide an opportunity for the President to review the findings and deliberate on the next steps towards lasting peace in Bawku.

Further details on the implementation of the recommendations are expected following the presentation.
