The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has temporarily halted his constituency campaign tour ahead of the upcoming December 7 election.
This pause is to enable Dr. Bawumia to focus on preparing for the launch of the NPP’s manifesto, scheduled for Sunday, August 18.
According to a statement signed by Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the Communication Director of the Bawumia campaign, the tour will resume immediately after the launch.
The manifesto launch will take place in Takoradi, located in the Western region.
As part of the preparations, the NPP leadership has formed an 11-member committee tasked with overseeing the planning and execution of the event.
The committee, chaired by Madam Oboshie Sai-Cofie, includes key party members such as Henry Nana Boakye, Ms. Abena Asante, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Fati Abubakar, Anthony Abayifa Karbo, and Dennis Miracles Aboagye.
