Nana Kwasi Boatey, born on December 24, 1978, in Adeiso, Eastern Region, is a Ghanaian businessman, politician, and lawyer.

He is currently the newly appointed Managing Director of the Ghana Publishing Company Limited, appointed by the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, on February 16, 2025.

He received his basic education at Awisa Presby Primary School and his junior high school education at Awisa Presby Boarding School, both located in Akyem Awisa.

He continued at Prempeh College in Kumasi for his pre-tertiary education. Nana Kwasi later studied Pharmacy Technology at Kumasi Technical University, where he graduated with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in 2001.

He furthered his education at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, earning an LLB (Law) degree from 2005 to 2008.

He was called to the Ghana Bar in 2011.

Nana Kwasi Boatey’s career spans law, media, and business.

Before his appointment, he lectured on Civil Procedure at the Ghana School of Law in Kumasi and served as the Head of Chambers at Dadson and Associates Ltd., a law firm.

He had also worked in the media for over 2 decades hosting radio programs such as “Decision 2020” on Luv FM and “Action Point” on Kapital Radio.
Additionally, he was the CEO of Orbitplus Pharmacy Ltd.

Also, some notable roles Nana Kwasi Boatey played during his early career days include serving as Parliamentary Liaison and Assistant to the former

Minister of Trade and Industry, Hannah Tetteh, from 2009 to 2011.
He was also the board secretary to the Board Directors of the Ghana Standards Authority.

In February 2025, President John Dramani Mahama appointed Nana Kwasi Boatey as the acting Managing Director of the Ghana Publishing Company Limited, following the termination of the former MD, Mr David Asante.

As MD, Nana Kwasi has initiated reforms, including introducing a 24-hour shift system to boost productivity and realigning staff roles based on their qualification.

He has also reorganized the company’s organogram to incorporate other units and departments like the Legal Department, Quality Control Unit, and Corporate Affairs Department among others.

Nana Kwasi Boatey Esq. brings a wealth of experience in law, media, and business management to his role as MD of Ghana Publishing Company Limited.
