Dr. Thomas Anaba, former CEO of Ridge Hospital and Member of Parliament for the Guru Constituency, has expressed his support for the dismissal of the Managing Director of Tamale Teaching Hospital.
According to Dr. Anaba, the hospital’s management showed negligence in ensuring the smooth operation of the facility.
Speaking on ABC News, he cited the misallocation of resources and poor oversight as key factors that contributed to the deterioration of medical equipment and a shortage of essential incentives for staff and patients.
His comments come in response to the recent sacking of the hospital’s Managing Director, a move that has triggered mixed reactions across the country.
Dr. Thomas Anaba further called for calm and urged all parties to remain composed.
He emphasised the need for constructive engagement between hospital staff and the Health Minister to ensure that the underlying issues are effectively addressed.
Dr. Anaba also assured the public that the minister is actively working to resolve the challenges facing the hospital and that progress is underway; hence, work should be in progress.
