The Electoral Commission (EC) has provided a soft copy of the revised voter register to political parties and Independent candidates.
This distribution occurred during a crucial meeting on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, which brought together all political parties, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and donor partners under the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) framework.
The meeting aimed to address the re-exhibition of the Provisional Voters Register (PVR), scheduled from October 15 to October 19, 2024.
The EC emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability, allowing parties and candidates to identify discrepancies in the revised voters’ register.
This updated register reflects improvements from the initial version exhibited in August, highlighting the Commission’s commitment to responding to concerns raised by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The EC acknowledged the significance of these discussions, underscoring its dedication to fostering a transparent electoral process.
Voters are encouraged to verify their details using the short code 71151# or by visiting the EC’s website, with the Commission urging the public to report any discrepancies to their local offices for correction.
However, the EC has clarified that no changes will be permitted after the re-exhibition exercise concludes on October 19, 2024.
Additionally, the Commission has released a comprehensive list of the 40,647 Polling Stations and 328 Special Voters to ensure a smooth and accessible voting experience for all citizens.
