The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has confirmed a scheduled two-day power outage across parts of the Greater Accra and Tema regions, beginning today, Tuesday, May 13 through Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
The planned maintenance exercise, which will run from 9:00am to 5:00pm each day in most areas, is aimed at improving service reliability and ensuring stable electricity supply.
“ECG regrets the inconvenience caused to affected customers,” the company stated in public notices issued across its official platforms.
Today’s outages will affect communities including Pokuase Pharmacy, Ayawaso Station, Amanfrom, SCC, Bortianor, and Tseaddo in Greater Accra, as well as Community 9, Miotso, Prampram, and surrounding areas in the Tema Region.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 14, the power interruption will extend to Abeka, Ofankor Franko, Haatso, Achimota, and parts of Ashaiman such as Community 25, Afienya Zongo, Imperial Perkin, and Valco Flats, with varying durations from 9:00am to either 3:00pm or 5:00pm.
The ECG has advised residents in the affected areas to take necessary precautions to mitigate the impact of the power disruptions and encouraged the public to follow its official channels for further updates.
The company emphasized that the maintenance is essential to enhancing operational efficiency and long-term power stability in the serviced communities.
