The Ministry of the Interior has officially declared Friday, June 6, 2025, as a statutory public holiday in observance of Eid-Ul-Adha.
The announcement was made in a statement released on Thursday, May 29, 2025, informing the general public of the national significance of the day.
“The general public is hereby informed that Friday, 6th June 2025, marks Eid-Ul-Adha, which is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country,” the Ministry wrote.
The day is expected to be marked by nationwide celebrations, prayers, and family gatherings, as Muslims across Ghana commemorate the religious occasion.
