Board Chairman of Azumah Resources Limited, Prof. Prince Amponsah, has accuse Engineers & Planners (E&P) of hacking into Azumah’s operations in their bid to forcibly take over the company’s assets.

He revealed to ABC News GH that E&P had hacked into Azumah’s corporate email system, including his personal mail and other company accounts, in an attempt to block correspondence and cripple the firm’s ability to respond.

“So you could see draconian methods are used to assume control,” he said, lamenting the deliberate use of unlawful tactics.

The Board Chair further disclosed that men associated with E&P had physically taken control of Azumah’s site. As a precaution, management has directed workers to return home since the company cannot guarantee their safety.

He described the development as “actually a breach” of an existing High Court injunction, warning that such conduct undermines the rule of law.

Despite the disruptions, Prof. Amponsah assured that Azumah remains calm and committed to lawful processes.

“We are not afraid. We are not going to fight anyone. We are calm, we are law-abiding people. We will still go through the jurisdiction and the rule of law to ensure that where the truth lies, that is where things will,” he explained.

The company’s position aligns with its earlier statement dismissing any purported transfer of ownership to E&P as false and without legal basis.

Azumah has cautioned that any such attempt would amount to expropriation, exposing the Government of Ghana to over US$1 billion in claims. The ICC is expected to deliver its ruling on the matter in February 2026.
