Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service, Divisional Officer Grade Two (DOII) Desmond Ackah, has expressed concerns about the several fire incidents recorded in the country this year.
Speaking on ABC in the morning, Mr Ackah said one of the main reasons for fire outbreaks in the country is the negligence of residents.
He noted that Ghanaians should prioritize their safety, urging individuals to have faith in the Ghana National Fire Service to do their part in protecting them from any possible fire outbreak.
Meanwhile, Desmond Ackah also disclosed that one challenge they face is that there are no fire stations close to where the fire incident occurred.
He then charged local authorities through assembly members to provide fire stations in their districts.
