Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, MP for Assin South, has cautioned the government to focus on delivering on its promises as it holds power.
Speaking in Parliament, Fordjour warned that the minority will maintain strict oversight of the government’s actions to ensure transparency and accountability.
“They are in power; they should focus on delivering,” he stated, emphasizing the need for the ruling party to fulfill campaign pledges rather than getting distracted by controversies or mismanagement.
Fordjour also underscored the minority’s commitment to exposing any wrongdoing by the government, signaling a no-holds-barred approach to parliamentary oversight.
“As many times as they do wrong things, we are going to expose them,” he said, making clear that the opposition will continue to hold the majority accountable.
The MP’s remarks come amid heightened political tensions and public scrutiny over governance, as the minority asserts its role as a watchdog against potential abuse of power.
