The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has released the full list of areas to be affected by a planned power outage today, Sunday, July 13, 2025.
The outage, according to ECG, is part of routine maintenance works aimed at upgrading infrastructure and improving power delivery to customers.
“These works are necessary to upgrade infrastructure and ensure efficient energy delivery,” ECG stated in a public notice issued on Friday, July 11.
The affected areas fall within three key regions under ECG’s network: the Western Region, Tema Region, and the Greater Accra Region.
In the Western Region, two operations are scheduled. From 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, areas including Vienna City, Mankessim White House, Accra Station, and surrounding communities will be affected.
A second, longer operation from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm will affect Daboase, Sekyere Krobo, Sekyere Nsuta, Aboaboso, Bosomase, and nearby towns.
For the Tema Region, the outage will last from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, impacting Mobole, Ataa Mensah, Boishe, Afienya, Philip Kope, and the Greenhouse Enclave and surrounding communities.
In the Greater Accra Region, the interruption will span 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with affected areas including Kings Cottage, KICC, Taxis Tires, Western World, Guinness Depot, Rebecca Fashion Manufacturing Ltd, Frosty Bite Company, Perfect Pharmaceutical, Shivan Ghana Ltd, Mawums, Akuaba Refinery, Eskay Pharmaceutical, Royal Crown Ltd, West Coast Beverages, and Equator Foods.
ECG has advised residents and businesses in the affected areas to plan accordingly and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
