The Ministry of Gender will soon lay before Parliament a Child Justice Amendment Bill aimed at addressing child abuse and strengthening child protection systems in Ghana.
This was revealed by Majority Leader and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Mahama Ayariga, during his address in Parliament on Tuesday, May 27, at the opening of the Second Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament.
Mr. Ayariga stated that the bill forms part of a broader legislative agenda focused on institutional reform and legal clarity.
This according to the Minister is to ensure government regulates efficiently matters related to kids being abused in the country.
The proposed amendment is expected to receive keen attention as cases of abuse continue to spark public concern across the country.
