The National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) has announced a GH₵100 deduction from the February allowances of all service personnel nationwide to cover the cost of the National Service Cloth, which has already been distributed.
In a statement issued on March 2, NASPA also revealed that personnel enrolled in the SIC insurance scheme will have additional deductions to settle four months of unpaid insurance contributions as part of their contractual obligations.
The announcement has sparked concerns among some service personnel, who argue that the deductions were not adequately communicated in advance.
However, NASPA assured members that further updates regarding the deductions and other financial matters will be provided in due course.
