Aduana FC has been fined GHS 15,000 by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) after being found guilty of failing to control their players and ensure the safety of match officials during their Ghana Premier League clash against Asante Kotoko.
The match day 12 game, which took place in November 2024, ended in a 2-0 victory for Asante Kotoko, but was marred by chaotic scenes involving Aduana FC players and supporters
The GFA Disciplinary Committee issued the sanction following incidents during the heated encounter at the Agyemang Badu I Park, where Aduana FC players and supporters were involved in unsporting behavior.
A statement from the GFA confirmed the ruling on Tuesday, February 11, 2025:
“Aduana FC have been handed a GHS 15,000 fine and a warning by the Disciplinary Committee for misconduct following their Ghana Premier League game against Asante Kotoko.”
“The club was found guilty of inappropriate behavior by their supporters and failing to ensure the safety of match officials during the game.”
In addition to the fine, Aduana FC has been issued a stern warning regarding future conduct. The club has been urged to implement better security measures to prevent similar incidents, as repeated offenses could result in harsher penalties.
