A young woman identified as Patricia Nimako has been shot and killed by suspected armed robbers at Krofrom, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The tragic incident occurred on Thursday afternoon, February 13, at her mobile money shop while she was attending to business.
The assailants, who arrived on a motorbike, reportedly demanded an undisclosed amount of money before shooting her.
Speaking to the media, an eyewitness, Yaw Nsiah, recounted the harrowing moment.

“The killers shot her twice and made away with the money. We quickly rushed her to Manhyia Hospital, but she was pronounced dead on arrival,” he said.
The robbers initially pretended to be customers before launching their attack, creating panic among bystanders.
The incident has sparked fear and anxiety among residents and business owners in the area, who are calling for enhanced security measures.
Many are urging authorities to address rising crime rates and ensure the safety of traders, especially those handling cash transactions.
Police investigations have commenced to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
