President John Dramani Mahama has dissolved the Boards of nine state institutions with immediate effect.
The affected institutions include Prestea Sankofa Gold Limited, Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST), and Volta Aluminium Company Limited (VALCO).
Others are Consolidated Bank Ghana Limited (CBG), Ghana Post Company Limited, the Road Maintenance Trust Fund, TDC Ghana Limited, Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), and the National Sports Authority.
According to a statement issued by the Presidency on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, relevant sector ministers have been directed to take all necessary steps, in accordance with applicable laws and governing instruments, to give effect to the dissolution of the Boards.
The Presidency said the affected Boards will be reconstituted in due course.
