The government of Ghana has revoked the appointments of Ms. Olivia Okailey Quartey, Deputy Director-General in charge of Managerial Operations, and Prof. Ezer Osei Yeboah-Boateng, Deputy Director-General for Technical Operations at the National Communications Authority (NCA).
The decision, confirmed by reliable sources, is part of an ongoing leadership restructuring at the NCA to strengthen the institution’s operational and regulatory framework.
Both officials played pivotal roles in supporting the NCA’s mission to regulate Ghana’s telecommunications and broadcasting sectors.
While no official reasons have been given for their dismissal, the move signals the new National Democratic Congress (NDC) government’s intent to inject fresh leadership into key roles to address emerging challenges in the rapidly evolving telecommunications sector.
