The NPP Leeds Chapter UK is set to host a special event on March 9, 2025, honoring the contributions of women to nation-building.
The virtual program, themed “The Role of Women in Our Contemporary Nation-Building and Politics,” will feature two distinguished guest speakers—Hon. Fatimatu Abubakar, the immediate past Minister of Information, and Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford, former Member of Parliament for Mfantseman and Minister of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation.
This initiative is part of the NPP Leeds Chapter’s celebration of International Women’s Week.
The event, scheduled from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm via Zoom, is powered by Paa Asante, the Communication Officer of the NPP Leeds Chapter.
It seeks to highlight the role women play in governance and national development while inspiring more female participation in leadership.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the guest speakers and discuss strategies for advancing women’s impact in politics and beyond.
