The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to officially inaugurate its long-anticipated ideological training centre, the Patriotic Institute, on June 25, 2025.
The announcement was made by the party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, in a press statement dated Wednesday, June 18.
According to Mr. Kodua, the institute is designed to provide structured political education to party members—particularly office holders—on the party’s centre-right ideology, values, history, and strategic direction.
“The Party has scheduled 25th June 2025 for the official inauguration of the NPP Ideological Institute,” he disclosed.
The unveiling of the institute comes as part of broader reforms being undertaken by the party in its rebuilding phase ahead of the 2028 general elections.
The statement also confirmed that the NPP will hold its Presidential Primaries on January 31, 2026, to elect a flagbearer.
Mr. Kodua explained, “This crucial decision was taken by the Party’s National Council pursuant to Article 13(1)(1) of the NPP Constitution.”
The decision followed a National Council meeting on June 17, 2025, where party leaders also discussed preparations for the upcoming Annual National Delegates Conference, including key constitutional amendments aimed at repositioning the party.
