The Ghana Police Service has launched a manhunt for a group of thugs who violently disrupted the Council of State Regional Elections at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council in Kumasi.
The attack occurred just as Electoral Commission (EC) officials were about to begin counting ballots, leading to the complete destruction of all voting materials.
Eyewitnesses described the attackers as heavily built men who forcefully halted the process, throwing the polling center into chaos.

“They’ve destroyed all the ballots just when the EC officials were about to begin counting,” a witness recounted.
Authorities have assured the public that they are reviewing footage to identify and arrest those responsible, emphasizing that justice will be served.
