President John Dramani Mahama has pledged to strengthen Ghana’s public health system to better manage future health crises.
Speaking after his inauguration on January 7, 2025, he emphasized his administration’s commitment to safeguarding lives during pandemics or epidemics.
“My government will be working diligently to strengthen our public health systems while monitoring the global health situation so that when the next pandemic or epidemic occurs, the loss of lives will be minimal,” Mahama stated.
His remarks highlight the new administration’s focus on resilience and proactive health governance, aligning with its broader agenda of national development and unity.
