Hon. Richard Ahiagbah has officially filed his nomination to contest the position of National First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) with his campaign team expressing confidence in his bid ahead of the party’s national elections scheduled for October 3 in Kumasi.
The nomination was filed yesterday in the presence of supporters and delegates who travelled from various parts of the country to witness the process.
Following the successful filing the campaign expressed appreciation to delegates and supporters for their presence and support, describing the occasion as an important demonstration of confidence in Mr. Ahiagbah’s leadership.
In a message accompanying a post on the filing, Mr. Ahiagbah thanked supporters for what he described as a successful filing event.
“Your support has strengthened our resolve to build a party that works for the grassroots,” he said.
A statement signed by Adama Yaw Oppong, National S.M.C.D, also expressed gratitude to delegates who travelled from across the country to participate in the occasion.
According to the campaign the strong presence of delegates from different parts of the country demonstrated the trust and confidence they have placed in Mr. Ahiagbah and his vision for the party.
The campaign described the filing not merely as the completion of a formal process but as a significant step in its broader effort to promote what it called responsive, accountable and grassroots oriented leadership within the NPP.
However, the campaign stressed that the filing of the nomination marks only another stage in the race with further engagements planned across the country.
“The campaign remains very much in progress and we are fully committed to the journey ahead,” the statement said.
The campaign team said its attention is now focused on October 3 in Kumasi where it is seeking a decisive victory for Mr. Ahiagbah.
It further disclosed that the candidate’s regional and constituency tours would continue particularly in constituencies that have not yet had the opportunity to engage directly with him.
Mr. Ahiagbah is expected to personally visit such constituencies in the coming days as part of efforts to strengthen his engagement with delegates and present his vision for the position.
The campaign assured supporters and delegates that no part of the country would be left behind in the ongoing outreach.
“No part of this great country will be left behind,” the statement assured.
The campaign subsequently called on delegates and supporters to remain committed to the cause as Mr. Ahiagbah continues his engagements ahead of the October 3 elections in Kumasi.
With the nomination successfully filed the campaign now turns its attention to the next phase of the contest, seeking to consolidate support among delegates and build momentum towards the October 3 showdown.
