The Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has terminated the appointment of Mr. Kwadwo Gyamfi Osafo-Mafo as the Director of Cyber Security at the National Communications Authority (NCA).
A letter signed by the Chief Director of the Ministry, Alexander Yaw Arphul, conveyed the immediate termination and instructed Osafo-Mafo to hand over his duties to the Acting Director General of the NCA.
The letter further stated that, in accordance with paragraph 8 of his appointment letter, Osafo-Mafo would receive three months’ salary in lieu of notice.
The Ministry has not provided any official reason for the dismissal, but the decision marks a significant leadership change within the NCA’s cybersecurity department.
“You are directed to hand over your duties to the Ag Director General of the National Communications Authority.”
“In line with paragraph 8 of your appointment letter, you will be given three months salary in lieu of notice,” the letter stated.
