Following extensive consultations with telecom CEOs, the Ministry of Communications has announced revised data bundles to take effect from July 1, 2025.
The changes include significant increases in data volumes for existing packages across all three major networks.
AirtelTigo Ghana
AirtelTigo customers will enjoy a 10% increase on all existing data bundles.
For example, a GHS400 bundle, which currently offers 195GB, will now offer 236GB.
Telecel Ghana
Telecel will also implement a 10% increase on all current data bundles.
A GHS400 bundle, which previously gave users just 90GB, will now offer 250GB, marking a massive boost for heavy data users.
MTN Ghana
MTN customers are set to receive a 15% increase on all bundles.
The GHS399 bundle, which had been reduced to 92.88GB, will be reinstated to 214GB, effective July 1.
Communications Minister Sam George remarked, “I am glad our engagements and consultations are bearing fruit. I also acknowledge that this increase comes at a considerable cost, but it is a necessary step to address public concerns.”
He extended appreciation to the CEOs for agreeing to the new data pricing, adding that they understand their responsibility to the Ghanaian people.
This announcement comes as good news to many Ghanaians who have long complained about the high cost of data.
