Deputy Minister-designate for Roads and Highways, Alhassan Suhuyini, has pledged that the Mahama administration will focus on developing untarred roads across the country.
Speaking during his vetting before the Appointments Committee of Parliament on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, he emphasized the need to improve road infrastructure, particularly in high-traffic areas and agricultural production zones.
Suhuyini outlined that road development projects will be guided by key factors such as population density and economic impact.
He assured that neglected communities will see increased government attention to enhance accessibility and transportation efficiency.
Alhassan Suhuyini has also urged a broader discussion on road funding, emphasizing that incorporating private roads can help construct more roads instead of relying solely on government support.
