International Relations Expert, John Blankson has stated that even though Trump’s win comes as a shock to many, his victory was based on key messages that resonate with voters and not because of the “White privileges” factor.
Speaking on ABC in the morning, Blankson said, the Democrats must think of a better strategy to use next time that could favor them.
His comments come on the back of Trump’s victory over rival Kamala Haris with over 270 electoral college votes.
“Whiteness does indeed play a huge role in getting elected into leadership in American.”
“I do agree that President Obama, was the life time generational of talent. But i also do think that we were getting close. And when we take a look at the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton had a genuine shot, but there were a lot of unprecedent factors during the last ten days of the elections that sang her.”
“So white privileges does play a role, it is always going to be there. It was there when we were born,” he added.
