Announced during the 27th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM 2024) in Apia, Samoa, Ayorkor Botchwey’s election is seen as a testament to her exemplary leadership and commitment to the shared values of the Commonwealth.
President Akufo-Addo has also extended gratitude to his fellow Heads of State for their trust in her candidacy, describing her as a passionate advocate who will steer the Commonwealth toward cooperation and strength.
