Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has been re-elected as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bono Regional Chairman after securing victory in the party’s regional executive elections held on Saturday, August 15.
Abronye polled 201 votes to defeat four other contenders and retain his position as the leader of the NPP’s regional structure in Bono.
His re-election gives him another mandate to lead the party’s regional structures, coordinate its activities and oversee its organisational and political affairs across the region.
The chairman plays a key role in coordinating constituency executives, mobilising party supporters and supervising the implementation of decisions taken by the party’s leadership.
In other contests, Kate Amponsah Agyare was elected First Vice Chairman with 252 votes, while Kwaku Antwi Agyei won the Second Vice Chairman position with 123 votes.
Kofi Ofosu Boateng emerged as Regional Secretary after polling 187 votes, defeating Asare Baffour Ebenezer, who obtained 93 votes.
Randy Ashraf Issahaku was elected Deputy Secretary with 145 votes, narrowly defeating Stephen Opuni, who polled 135 votes.
The Women’s Organiser contest was won by Samira Sulley, who secured 142 votes, while Alhaji Baba Suwari emerged as Youth Organiser with 102 votes.
Faisal Osman Mohammed won the Nasara Organiser position with 177 votes, while Veronica Tuffour secured the Treasurer position with 131 votes.
Abdul Razak Oppong was elected Regional Organiser after polling 229 votes, defeating Darlington Bill Boampong, who obtained 52 votes.
For Communications, Fahd Osman emerged victorious with 170 votes, beating Abubakari Yakubu, who polled 111 votes.
