The Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Ernest Addison, has lauded the newly commissioned headquarters, “The Bank Square,” as a national emblem of progress and resilience.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, he described the structure as a testament to the Central Bank’s dedication to enhancing Ghana’s financial standing and operational efficiency.
Dr. Addison emphasized the importance of centralizing the bank’s offices across Accra, fostering improved coordination and cost-effectiveness.
The facility, comprising four distinct components, highlights the bank’s expanding role amid Ghana’s evolving economic landscape.
Designed by Sir David Adjaye, a globally acclaimed architect, the headquarters is built to reflect Ghana’s aspirations for a sustainable and innovative future. Dr. Addison praised Adjaye’s architectural vision, noting the structure’s durability and symbolism as a modern civic landmark.
The Bank Square is positioned not just as an operational hub but as a beacon of Ghana’s economic revitalization. Dr. Addison reiterated its significance in promoting sustainability, resilience, and a thriving financial ecosystem.
