The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has released the ballot statistics in preparation for the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.
The update was made in a press statement on Monday, October 14, signed by Deputy EC Chairperson Samuel Tettey.
The statistics, which are based on the total number of voters on the Provisional Voter’s Register (PVR), have been published to facilitate the timely printing of ballots, with an additional two per cent increase to account for expected growth in voter participation.
According to the EC, this proactive measure seeks to prevent any potential shortages on election day by ensuring sufficient ballots for all eligible voters.
“We want to ensure that the electoral process runs smoothly and efficiently,” the Commission said, emphasizing its commitment to minimizing discrepancies.
