The Ghana Chamber of Mines has announced new leadership appointments to enhance its strategic focus and operational effectiveness.
Ing. Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO), while Ahmed Dasana Nantogmah takes on the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Both appointments became effective on June 1, 2025.
Dr. Ashigbey, an experienced engineer with a background spanning media, technology, and infrastructure sectors, is tasked with leading the Chamber’s efforts in stakeholder engagement, policy advocacy, and advancing innovation for sustainable growth in Ghana’s mining industry.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nantogmah brings significant expertise in mining policy and corporate affairs to his role, where he will oversee the Chamber’s day-to-day operations and ensure the smooth implementation of strategic initiatives.
The Ghana Chamber of Mines, under the leadership of its President Michael Edem Akafia, described the appointments as a crucial step forward.
