A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communications Team, Kwesi Kwarteng, has affirmed that the party’s nationwide “Thank You” tour was well received by the grassroots and sympathizers, despite ongoing concerns about transparency and internal unity.
Speaking to ABC News GH, Kwarteng noted that the initiative, which brought together party executives and key figures, demonstrated a spirit of reconciliation and healing.
“It symbolizes peace, and that alone is satisfying,” he said.
Responding to critiques that the party is avoiding accountability for its 2024 electoral defeat, Kwarteng acknowledged that leadership requires responsibility.
“As a leader, you should take responsibility for whatever happened and apologise accordingly,” he stated, admitting the need for humility and clarity in navigating the post-election period.
