The Electoral Commission has launched an online exhibition of the updated provisional voters register (PVR), running from today, October 15, to Saturday, October 19, 2024.
This initiative addresses concerns raised by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) regarding discrepancies identified in the initial public exhibition.
By moving the process online, the commission aims to enhance accessibility and transparency, allowing voters to verify their details from the comfort of their homes.
Voters can check their registration details free of charge using the short code 71151# or by visiting the EC’s website at ec.gov.gh.
To access their information, voters simply need to click on the pop-up link at the bottom-right corner of the screen and enter their 10-digit Voter ID number.
The commission emphasizes the importance of accuracy and encourages the public to report any discrepancies to their respective District Office for prompt corrections.
As the re-exhibition period unfolds, the Electoral Commission calls upon political parties to utilize the provided template for reporting any discrepancies found.
While voters will still be able to check their registration details online after the exhibition ends, the commission stresses that corrections cannot be requested once the exercise concludes.
