The People’s National Party (PNP) has officially endorsed Janet Asana Nabla, its leader and national chairperson, as the party’s flagbearer for the December 7 elections.
The decision was finalized during a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Sunday, September 1, solidifying her position at the forefront of the party’s campaign. In addition, Dr. Edmund Ayesu was confirmed as her running mate, setting the stage for a dynamic leadership duo.
In a statement issued on Monday, September 2, the PNP described the confirmation of Madam Asana Nabla and Dr. Ayesu as a “pivotal decision” that signifies the party’s commitment to offering Ghana transformative leadership.
The statement emphasized that their combined expertise, dedication, and strategic vision would focus on strengthening the pillars of Family, Community, and the Motherland.
It also highlighted Madam Nabla’s background in public service, health administration, and political leadership, alongside Dr. Ayesu’s experience in applied econometric modeling and civil society activism.
The PNP called on all Ghanaians to support the newly confirmed leaders as they work towards a future that prioritizes the well-being and prosperity of every citizen.
“Their unwavering commitment to gender equality, economic sovereignty, and social justice aligns with the party’s vision of a prosperous and equitable Ghana,” the statement concluded.
