The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has appealed to party supporters across the country to fully support the administration of President John Dramani Mahama in order to ensure the government succeeds in delivering on its mandate.
According to him, the performance of the Mahama-led administration will ultimately reflect on the image and credibility of the NDC as a political party, making it necessary for members to remain united and committed to the government’s agenda.
Speaking during his “Thank You Tour” at East Gonja on Thursday, May 14, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah stressed that party faithful must contribute positively toward the progress of the administration rather than engage in actions that could weaken public confidence in the government.
He emphasized the importance of discipline, cooperation and unity among supporters, noting that the next three years would be crucial for the party and the country.
“Our party members who supported the party to power, we have three years to the end of the tenure of the Mahama government. We need to support the government to succeed,” he said.
“If Mahama fails, the embarrassment will be on all of us; Mahama will not only take the fall, but all of us. We need to support the government’s agenda with all our strength for it to succeed for the betterment of the people,” he added.
The NDC Chairman further encouraged members of the party to motivate one another and work collectively toward meeting the expectations of Ghanaians, insisting that the success of the government depends largely on the commitment and conduct of party supporters nationwide.
