The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has dismissed concerns regarding the Presidency’s official website being redirected to the personal campaign site of President John Dramani Mahama.
Speaking on ABC’s morning show, NDC Communications Team Member Stephen Sedem Deegde asserted that the redirect poses no ethical or legal issues.
“There’s nothing untoward about redirecting the website,” he stated, emphasizing that the move does not constitute a misuse of public resources or government infrastructure for political purposes.
Mr. Deegde further explained that the website’s transition aligns with standard practices and should not be interpreted as an abuse of power.
“This is not about political gain; it’s a non-issue,” he insisted, urging critics to focus on substantive matters rather than fueling unnecessary controversies.
