“This govt will be the smallest in the history of Ghana” – Felix Kwakye Ofosu

Government Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu has declared that , “This government will be the smallest in the history of Ghana,” reaffirming the administration’s goal of cutting unnecessary expenditures.

Speaking during a media brief this afternoon, he argued that maintaining a lean government would free up resources for more impactful developmental projects.

The move has been welcomed by many as a step toward fiscal responsibility, but concerns persist over transparency in presidential staff appointments.

While only ten staffers have been announced so far, critics argue that more undisclosed appointments could contradict the government’s efficiency pledge.

Kwakye Ofosu also emphasized the administration’s commitment to transparency, stating, “We have been proactive and more transparent.”

He pointed out that unlike the previous administration, this government has made every presidential appointment public.

However, opposition figures insist that full disclosure of all expected staffers at the presidency is necessary to ensure accountability.
