Three people were shot dead on Tuesday evening in a suspected Fulani-related shooting incident at Nkawkaw in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region.
According to sources, the victims believed to be members of the Fulani community were ambushed by unidentified gunmen at their regular meeting location.
A fourth individual sustained gunshot wounds and is currently receiving medical treatment.
While the exact motive remains unknown, early indications point to a possible internal Fulani dispute as the trigger for the deadly attack.
“We are looking into all angles, including internal tensions,” a source familiar with the community dynamics hinted.
Police have transported the bodies to the morgue and say a full investigation is underway. As of press time, no official statement had been issued, but local residents are calling for swift action to prevent further violence.
