The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has extended goodwill messages to candidates writing the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), encouraging them to face the papers with confidence and a strong sense of integrity.
In a statement released on her behalf, she expressed optimism that the candidates were well prepared after years of academic work and discipline.
“The Vice President is confident that all candidates will give off their very best after years of effort, discipline, and preparation,” the statement noted.
She further urged the candidates to remain focused throughout the examination period and to uphold honesty in their conduct as they sit for the national assessment.
“She encourages all candidates to approach the examination with confidence, honesty, and determination,” the statement added.
The Vice President also acknowledged the contributions of education stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and the Ghana Education Service, for their continued support in preparing students for the exams.
“The Vice President commends the Ghana Education Service, teachers, parents, and all stakeholders for their dedicated efforts towards preparing our students,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, she called on examination supervisors, invigilators, and school authorities to ensure strict adherence to fairness and transparency to safeguard the credibility of the exercise.
