Renowned civil rights attorney Ben Crump has commended Ambassador Erieka Bennett for her unwavering dedication to fostering enduring connections between Africa and the diaspora.
During his visit to the Diaspora African Forum Embassy, where he paid tribute to global justice figures such as Henrietta Lacks, Sonya Massey, and Roger Fortson, Attorney Crump also urged Africans living in America to mentally reconnect with the continent, even if they cannot return physically.
Meanwhile, Samia Yaba Christina Nkrumah remarked that Ghanaians seek more than just a symbolic connection-they want him to be actively involved in both the economic and political spheres of their lives.
Speaking at an event honoring global justice icons such as Henrietta Lacks, Sonya Massey, and Roger Fortson, the daughter of Ghana’s first president, Samia Nkrumah stressed that Ghana’s progress was not accomplished by Ghanaians alone.
She acknowledged the significant contributions of international allies like George Cardinal and Dr. W.E.B. Du Bois, who, though not African by birth, were deeply dedicated to the liberation and advancement of the continent.
