Afrobeats sensation King Promise has been crowned Artiste of the Year at the 26th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), held on Saturday, June 1, 2025.
The “Paris” hitmaker clinched the coveted title after edging out top contenders including Black Sherif, Stonebwoy, King Paluta, Joe Mettle, Team Eternity, and Kweku Smoke, marking a major milestone in his music career.
“This is unbelievable — dreams do come true,” King Promise said in an emotional speech as he picked up the award.
His triumph didn’t stop there, as he walked away with four awards in total: Artiste of the Year, Best Afropop Song of the Year for Paris, Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste of the Year, and Best Album/EP of the Year for True to Self.
The win caps off a remarkable year of success for the artist, cementing his status as one of Ghana’s leading musical exports.
