The Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, Hon. Phillis Naa Koryoo, has emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue in promoting community development and effective governance.
The event brought together traditional leaders, opinion leaders, and key stakeholders to address pressing concerns affecting the rapidly growing constituency. It also served as a platform for open discussion on local governance and development priorities in Kasoa.
Speaking during the engagement, a key representative highlighted the need for sustained collaboration with traditional authorities and opinion leaders to ensure inclusive decision-making.
“In every growing community, there is a need to dialogue with the opinion leaders. We have already met with some stakeholders, but today, we sought to engage with the ‘father of the house’ or the ‘father of Parliament’ and his people to listen to their perspectives and provide assurances,” the spokesperson noted.
During the interactive session, particularly the question-and-answer segment, residents raised key concerns relating to local governance and the strategic development of the constituency.
The discussions also highlighted the remarkable growth of Kasoa, with participants noting its increasing significance both nationally and globally. It was indicated that Kasoa currently ranks as the third-largest constituency in Ghana and among the fastest-growing communities worldwide.
The engagement ended with a renewed call for stronger cooperation between government officials and traditional leaders to ensure that infrastructure development and governance structures keep pace with the area’s rapid expansion.
The initiative was led by Hon. Phillis Naa Koryoo, reaffirming her commitment to inclusive leadership and community-driven development.
