Member of Parliament for Pru East, Emmanuel Kweku Boam, spent Mother’s Day celebrating with new mothers and their newborns at Yeji Mathias Hospital.

The visit was part of efforts to recognise the sacrifices mothers make in raising children and strengthening families.

During the event, Boam donated baby products, toiletries, and other essential supplies to women who had recently delivered at the facility. He also took time to speak with hospital staff and congratulate the mothers on safe deliveries.

Speaking to the media, the MP praised mothers for their role in national development, calling motherhood a noble responsibility that deserves both recognition and practical support.

Boam used the occasion to reaffirm his commitment to improving healthcare in Pru East, with a focus on maternal and child health services.

The mothers said the visit and gifts lifted their spirits on the day. Medical Director Dr Narh Evans welcomed the gesture and urged more support for health facilities to improve care for mothers and children in the area.
