The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has announced a major vehicle donation initiative aimed at empowering drivers and supporting livelihoods across the constituency.
According to information made available, the MP personally financed the purchase of a fleet of brand-new SUVs and pick-up trucks, valued at more than US$2 million. The vehicles are expected to be distributed to selected drivers within Amenfi Central to enhance their work and improve their economic opportunities.
The initiative forms part of Hon. Gyan Cudjoe’s broader commitment to grassroots development, job creation, and improving transportation in the constituency. Images released ahead of the distribution show several new Toyota Land Cruiser and Toyota Hilux vehicles lined up for the official presentation.
Supporters have praised the initiative as a significant step toward empowering drivers, particularly young people who face challenges acquiring vehicles for commercial purposes due to rising costs.
Since assuming office, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe has championed a number of development initiatives in Amenfi Central, with a strong focus on education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic empowerment.
Residents are now awaiting the official handover ceremony, during which the beneficiaries of the vehicle donation are expected to be announced.
