President John Dramani Mahama has made further changes to his government, including the reassignment of Minister for Labour, Employment and Job Creation, Abdul-Rashid Pelpuo.
Under the latest changes announced by the Presidency on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, Mr Pelpuo has been reassigned as Minister of State for Special Initiatives.
He will be replaced as Minister for Labour, Employment and Job Creation by Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum.
The President has also reassigned Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, to serve as Presidential Advisor on National Resilience and Emergency Preparedness.
The Presidency said the reassignments take immediate effect.
The changes form part of President Mahama’s latest adjustments to his government as his administration continues to realign ministerial and advisory responsibilities.
The announcement was signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications.
