Labour expert Seth Abloso has asserted that the government has not breached any constitutional provisions in revoking appointments made after December 7, 2024.
Speaking to ABC this morning, he defended the legality of the government’s actions, stating that “the government can even proceed to investigate the circumstances leading to the award of some of the appointments.”
He further suggested that high-ranking officials from the previous administration could be affected by these reviews.
However, Mr. Abloso cautioned that failure to take action could leave the government burdened with financial commitments that were not accounted for in the budget.
His remarks come amid growing concerns over the fairness and legality of the revocations, but his expert analysis suggests the government is well within its rights to scrutinize and potentially reverse the appointments in question.
